Tunnel type powder coating ovens

Tunnel type powder coating curing ovens

Tunnel type ovens are convection ovens that allow electrostatic powder coated workpieces to cure around 180-200°C, usually within 10 minutes, and are used in powder coating plants. In order to ensure the polymerization and curing of the workpieces passing through the oven, it is designed in length suitable for the conveyor speed. However, the geometric shapes and weight of the workpieces are taken into consideration in the design of the oven dimensions.

These ovens are conveyorized, product inlets and outlets are designed according to the largest workpiece dimensions. The furnaces can be designed as tunnel, U, S or M-shaped according to the largest workpiece dimensions and workshop dimensions.

Electricity, liquid or gas fuel is used for heating the furnaces.

OVEN STRUCTURE

The tunnel type powder coating oven consists of an oven body made of sandwich panels filled with 150 mm thick rock wool, oven heating system, circulation fan and heat exchanger unit with burner for gas/diesel fueled ovens or electric resistance heat exchanger unit for electric source ovens. Air curtains placed at the inlet and outlet of the oven prevent hot air loss from the oven to the environment. The temperature controller is digital type and easily adjustable, emergency thermostat is used for safety.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The ventilation air generated by the circulation fans passes through the heating chamber and transfers the heating energy to the furnace with the highest efficiency.
